ECO FRIENDLY

We have been ecofriendly even before ecofriendliness became fashionable. This is what we do at Karpewadi :

  • All our agriculture and horticulture follows organic farming by definition, without any compromise.
  • We reuse water for plants using biological methods.
  • We serve condiments in reusable pots, not use-and-throw sachets.
  • Drinking water glasses are kept upside down, not in single-use plastic bags.
  • We use energy-efficient CFL / LED lamps to save energy.
  • Our kitchen waste goes to our poultry / animals as feed, converting waste into eggs and milk.
  • We minimize use of paper stationery, thus saving trees and reducing threat to the air we breathe.
  • Our rooms are painted using lime (CaCO3) with negligible amount of VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) making it free from all chemical and pollutant gases and materials.
  • Bath water is heated in boilers burning coconut waste. Even the smoke is used to fumigate the farm and ash as manure for plants. The ash also acts as an effective mosquito repellent.

BULLOCK CART RACE

You can see the contestants prepare their animals for a month before the races. Please check with management about the race dates and timings so to avoid any inconvenience if you are arriving during this period.

WATER SPORTS

Imagine vrooming on waves of water. Jet Skiing is the ultimate water sport for speed lovers. It gives you an ecstatic time on water. You’ve ridden cars, trains and planes, but have you ever ridden a fruit? Ok, that sounds cheesy but it’s actually a lot of fun! And the best part: this water ride is safer than other water towing sports. We have highly trained riders who ride you on water.

BOAT RACE

In the month of March (around Holi) races of traditional sailboats are organised. It’s a traditional event organised by the fishing community. There are more than 100 boats decorated with bands to cheer up the participants. On request we arrange for a private boat to see these races.
