WHAT WE DO

WE MAKE AGRICULTURE SUSTAINABLE

Adopt-a-tree is our way of undertaking corporate social responsibility (CSR) in a creative way. You get the opportunity to rescue a tree that was earlier being subjected to inorganic farming practices or helping a tree that is already being farmed in an organic manner. Once you make your commitment, the farmer in charge of the tree is bound by you contractually to organically farm the tree while you bear the expenses for this cumbersome process.What you get in return is the opportunity to conduct some CSR activity which helps contribute towards restoring organic farming in India as well as helps farmers gather the courage to return to organic farming instead of abandoning their farms or leasing them to traders who conduct inorganic farming in them. On top of this, you also get a committed quantity of mangoes from the same tree or from the same farmer.

THE SOLUTION

Simply adopt-a-tree and join our growing community of urban micro-farmers by pledging an amount of INR 2,000/- for one year towards the maintenance of one tree. You can also consider it a prebooking for Mangoes.

THE PROBLEM

Over the years, the trading monopolies at play have forced many of these organically nurtured trees to be too expensive to maintain, making its fruit too unattractive to invest time in. Other than taking care of trees in and around their homes, most villagers choose to lease their kalams to traders because they cannot afford organic farming. To reverse the negative effect this has caused, we are asking you to help make it attractive for these farmers to take responsibility of their kalams.

In return, we will be happy to honor your support to the farmer by sharing with you 4 Doz mangoes (48 Alphonso mangoes) borne by that tree next season during the month of April/May.

HARVESTING

Our mangolatiers have years of experience and a trained eye in picking mangoes at just the right time to ensure optimum sugar formation and maturity. These are ripened naturally in layers of penda (rice hay) in the old tradition completely untouched by chemicals and middlemen.

QUALITY CONTROL

A rigorous 3 stage sorting by size, shape and visual defects is done to exclude any fruits with spots, damages and skin flaws. From the farms to our distribution centers, our mangolitiers ensure that you get the finest product both inside and out!

PACKING

The best fruits are packed in our customized, export quality, 6 ply top bottom boxes. They are enclosed in sleeves to prevent bruising or damage during transportation and adequate ventilation is provided in both primary and secondary packaging.

You are welcome to Visit the Farms anytime or during Plucking Season if u wish to see the process. Our Farm is located Just 1 Km from Hativale Toll Booth on the Bombay - Goa Highway.
We are in the Process of making Stay arrangements if you and your family wishes to enjoy farm life.

OUR LOCATION

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. In ADOPT A TREE , you deposit money with us towards the maintainance of the farm and we will give you mangoes worth the money deposited for that year.
  2. The amout Deposited will be utilized for farming only and maintainace of the trees.
  3. Mangoes will be delivered in the month of April / May.
  4. There is a lock-in period of 1 years.
  5. The amount cannot be returned in cash under any circumstances. Mangoes will be provided as promissed.
  6. The amout credited by you is being used towards the maintainace of tree and cannot be returned to you.
  7. You can visit our farm anytime with prior appointment to see the process and verify our claims.
  8. The delivery of mangoes is subject to market and weather conditions. We will not be liable for or responsible for any delays occurring due to factors beyond our control.
  9. Mangoes may not be delivered in case of Government Restrictions.
  10. All disputes are subject to Rajapur Jurisdiction only.
